The lil one is well on the way to becoming a fully-fledged infant and my husband and I are also well on the way to becoming fully-fledged parents. People have noticed my belly now which has now expanded in size.

It is becoming harder to find comfortable positions to sleep.

My belly aches especially when I just have a meal. My husband exclaimed, 'hey, that looks shiny!' while pointing the area around my bellybutton. He's more excited when he saw sudden bumps from beneath the belly.

The lil one's kicking now. She's more active at night while I'm sitting down comfortably watching tv. Yesterday she gave me 2 kicks and a punch while watching Star Wars: episode III. I could see her tiny foot making a slight bump as she kick me in there. One day, I'm just going to grab that lil foot of hers.

It's a grrl!

The gynae confirmed the lil one's a girl. I was ecstatic cos I've always wanted a girl all along. I want to tie her hair. To dress her up in cute lil baby clothes. hehe. My husband answered, when asked whether he preferred a girl or a boy, "...as long as the lil one is healthy, that would be enough..."

I've gained a healthy 2kg since my last visit a month ago. Although my lil girl is a tad small, she is growing just fine. I wonder how she will look like. Will she has a head full of curls like ours? Will she have that mischievous grin like her mother? Or that deep-in-thoughts kinda look like her father?

Backache!

I'm at my 17weeks now. I have been experiencing lil flutters in my tummy. It might be due to the backflips the lil one is making in the womb and I can't wait to know the gender of the lil one tomorrow!

After the bout of morning sickness last month and a bad case of cystitis earlier this week, I'm having the worst backache I ever had in my entire life.

But I just found out from this site that this is an indication that the lil one is growing and stretching the uterus.

Since I'm under doctor's order to eat only veges/fish & chicken because of that bladder infection, I have been following my diet very closely. Nevermind if I HATE fish. I'm growing tired of eating chickens too. But I have to start eating healthily not for me, but for the lil one. No more junk food for me...well, maybe a meal or two per month.

Mother-in-law has also been kind enough to cook soupy dishes to adjust to the doc's diet though her family members are used to spicy/curried dishes. I still miss my mother's dishes though. I know that sometimes I get emotional on these matters. We do get more emotional during this period. It's like we're having PMS everyday.
