Swollen foot

I noticed my left foot was swollen when I woke up this morning but I thought it will subside after I rubbed it with some medicated oil. I walked to work and up the slope like any other day without any limp. The swell didn't get better though. I was shocked when I took off my shoes and saw the puffy'ness. It was red and shiny. It wasn't a bit painful when I pressed it slightly in the morning but now it is. My leg felt as if it was tied with a few grams of weights and I walked with a slight limp. Time for me to get a pair of new shoes with adjustable straps or sandals when I returned from work later.

Her face

I saw her tiny face a couple of days ago when I made the usual monthly checkup to the gynae. Her sleeping face made me want to hold her, give her smooches and stroke her fine hairs on her head with my fingers.

The lil one has now learnt to express herself by bludgeoning my uterine wall. Most of the time she does belly kicking but sometimes she can give my bladder tiny jabs so many times I feel like going to the toilet again and again.

My husband has been my support pillar and feeding me good. We have been readying ourselves to be parents by listening to advice from our parents and reading up 'baby manual guides'. We are both very very excited to meet our girl face to face.

He talks to the lil one sometimes, referring himself as Ayah. And me, Ibu. Someone is being built inside of me. Isn't this act of creation a miracle? And I'm carrying that someone everyday. Every moment.
